Law Enforcement & Government Request Guidelines
Process for governmental, regulatory, emergency, preservation, and law-enforcement requests directed to Aeltrix Technologies LLC.
1. Official Requests
Governmental and law-enforcement agencies seeking information from Aeltrix Technologies LLC should direct formal legal process to legal@aeltrix.io. Requests should identify the requesting authority, legal basis, account or resource identifiers, categories of information sought, applicable time period, and official contact details.
2. Legal Review
Aeltrix reviews requests for facial validity, jurisdiction, legal authority, scope, and proportionality. Aeltrix may seek clarification, narrow overbroad requests, object where appropriate, or require formal process before disclosure.
3. Customer Notice
Where legally permitted and operationally appropriate, Aeltrix may notify the affected customer before disclosure so the customer can seek legal protection. Notice may be delayed or withheld where prohibited by law, court order, emergency circumstances, or a legitimate risk to an investigation or safety.
4. Emergency Requests
Emergency requests involving an imminent risk of death or serious physical injury should clearly state the emergency, information requested, connection between the requested information and the emergency, and why ordinary legal process is insufficient. Emergency disclosure is evaluated case by case under applicable law.
5. Preservation
Aeltrix may preserve records in response to valid preservation requests or where required by law. Preservation does not itself authorize disclosure. A separate legally sufficient request may be required for production.
6. Data Minimization
Where disclosure is legally required, Aeltrix seeks to produce information responsive to the lawful scope of the request and does not voluntarily expand a request beyond what is reasonably necessary.
7. Cross-Border Requests
Authorities outside the United States may be required to use applicable mutual legal assistance, treaty, international cooperation, or other recognized legal mechanisms unless another lawful basis directly compels Aeltrix.
8. Costs and Technical Burden
Where permitted by law, Aeltrix may seek reimbursement of reasonable costs associated with unusually burdensome production or specialized technical work.
9. Transparency
Where lawful and practicable, Aeltrix may publish aggregate information about governmental requests. This guideline does not promise publication of any particular request or disclosure.
